Greetings to all!

I'm back from a 3 week summer program at Columbia University, and I have to say it was an incredible experience in the campus, class, city, and most importantly, the friends I made. I was unhappy to leave, but I was glad to be back home...

...and have my BRS box set by my side. Aww yeaaah.

Look at price.

If I got this, it would only be for the figure (since the anime is unsubbed and the other stuff doesn't appeal to me), so it would be like $400 for a 6 inch action figure.

Hahahano.

I really wish I could take some badass pictures of her though. Purple is my favorite color....

BRS ep 6

I forgot to write ep 5 thoughts. But that's ok, because nobody reads these anyway ^^;

Moving on...
This episode was so badass, I don't even know what to say. Well actually, I do. It gets exponentially better each week, and this time, I have a really good reason to keep Saya as my favorite character. Spoilers ahead.

I adore almost everything about this show. Almost. I do like the art, the characters, the voice acting, the freaking kickass designs, the hallucinogen-esque (I actually wouldn't know for sure, since I'm not a druggy. I'm just going off of what I learned in AP Psych :XD: ) atmosphere of the otherworld, and the facial expressions. Especially Mato's and I.BRS's. Lolz. What I DON'T like is how unrealistic the plot is, because it is the epitome of psychological torture and insanity. Which doesn't really happen IRL, but it's a fantasy genre anime so I deal with it.
:icondealwithitplz:
So this plot has a very unique twist that I really, really like. There is no antagonist except for Mato herself. Sure, we thought at first that Kagari/Chariot was the evil one, and Yomi/DM, and most (seemingly obvious) baddy Saya/BGS. But naw. Mato came and farked everything up and then started destroying the otherworld with her FUS RO DAH Insane BRS. I'm not even kidding. She blew big stuff up by shouting.

Also, younger Saya is basically what I imagined her to be. Her personality then wasn't very unique, but necessary nonetheless. At that point, we learn what her motives are, and they are certainly are not bad at all. This includes why she tried to kill Mato. I won't spoil you too much on that, but I will say that I d'awwed when I learned it.

And Yuu/Strength. WTF. This anime is like Madoka Magica. Seriously. So it's like Yami Shoujo Mato Magica? LMAO. Especially Yuu. She is Kyuubey incarnate. Reddish (orange) eyes and white hair... turning Saya into a Yami Shoujo (Black Gold Saw). And she time travels (?). Or at least... idk.
The episode was badass and once again... CLIFFHANGERS. CLIFFHANGERS EVERYWHERE.

By the way, I'll list some funny references that I noticed that probably mean nothing.

Kagari looks a whole lot like Aisaka Taiga.
Chariot seems to be strongly based off of SZZU from the game. Black and gold colors, Kagari's side ponytail, and big freaking sword. PLUS, SZZU rode her (dumbass) brother like a CHARIOT. Chariot's name is Chariot (you don't say?) and she also rides some freaky robot thing.
FUS RO DAH!
STRENGTH has a very STRONG personality. (Ok actually that would be Yuu, but same deal.)
Kyuubey Strength ._.

BRS ep 4

This anime gets better each week.

While the storyline is not very realistic at all, it's still wonderfully done brain/eye/emotion candy. Plus, Mato's expressions are really cute :3
But also, [spoiler] KAGARI IS BACK! And sporting a haircut, school uniform, shine in her eyes, and healthier complexion. She's also adjusting really well, and I actually really like her character. But all is still not fun and games; Yomi has suddenly become the buttmonkey and is really, really depressed. We learned about basically everything she thought in my Health class during the suicide prevention unit :XD:
[speculation] Our dear Saya Irino is most likely the big baddy here. She's still my favorite character, and perhaps more so (since BGS is awesometastic and I tend to prefer villains like her) even though she's basically altering reality and mindfahking all of our protagonists. It's so tragic, really. But creepy. And awesometastic.

And also... CLIFF HANGER. Cliff hanger... everywhere.

Holy balls. This episode gave me chills.

Last week I mentioned how Saya was suspiciously like BGS here. It's pretty obvious now that that's who she is. She really took a turn for the creepy this time and every scene she was in made her seem like she's a little psychotic. Speaking of creepy, the otherworld scenes were bizarre like none other. Could Saya-chan be the antagonist here? Based on the previous eps, it's hard to believe since she was so nice and all, but she's still my favorite character because of how ambiguous she is at this point. (Even though she was a beotch and posted Koha's love notes and kept Yomi's coffee black)

Where's school uniform Kagari? T_T

This is probably the best anime I've seen (which isn't really saying much because I haven't actually watched many animes). I really like the otherworld and other self representations of the reality in the show.
